About Ken
Ken is an award winning artist, working mostly in charcoal and pastel.

Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Ken taught in Toronto for 30 years. On his annual drive home to Halifax in the summer, his love for art was sparked by observing street artists in Quebec City, which inspired him to begin a self taught process of creating portraits.

Initially he did portraits just for friends and his students in his lunch time 'Art Club', but as his passion evolved, he gained recognition and began receiving commissions for his portrait work.

Currently, Ken dedicates his efforts mainly to original creations, while still taking on a number of commissions.
